The “5 Continents, 500 Startups” global innovation platform is the international framework of Startup School 4, designed to bring together startups, mentors, investors, and innovation organizations from across five continents. The platform aims to support up to 500 startups through mentorship, training, global networking, and investor connections, helping founders develop scalable and investment-ready solutions within an internationally connected innovation ecosystem.

“Startup School 4” is open to early-stage startup founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, and innovation-driven teams from Azerbaijan and around the world who are developing technology-based or scalable business ideas. Individuals with innovative concepts as well as teams working on an existing startup project are encouraged to apply.

Projects from a wide range of innovation-driven fields are welcome to apply to “Startup School 4”. The main categories include Urban Planning and Architecture, Technology and Digital Innovations, Health and Biotechnology, Green Energy and Sustainable Development, Digital Media, and Global Trade and Logistics. Participants of Startup School 4 will have the opportunity to: • Receive 8 weeks of global training and mentorship support; • Participate in international masterclasses and potential bootcamp sessions; • Showcase their products at exhibition areas and take part in startup competitions; • Establish connections with investors, venture capital funds, technoparks, universities, and accelerators; • Explore incubation, partnership, and investment opportunities; • Attend an international conference and networking events; • Pitch their startups at the International Demo Day in Baku (30–31 October 2026) held alongside TEI Forum 2026, gaining exposure to global investors, corporations, and nearly 500 companies; • Direct access to distinguished experts and mentors from the USA, South Korea, Malta, Australia, China, Türkiye, and other countries; • Global knowledge exchange and the opportunity to join an international network of startup ecosystem participants; • Potential investment opportunities from local and international venture funds (including the USA, Malta, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan); • Individualized professional mentorship support for each team; • Practical knowledge and real-world experience sharing in areas such as digital transformation, green technologies, market strategy, and more; • Opportunities to access regional and global markets; • Grants and other funding opportunities; • Networking with international organizations and establishing partnerships for future projects; • Public recognition and media exposure for successful startups.

All stages of the program, including trainings, mentorship sessions, and learning materials, are conducted in English.

Startups can apply at the idea, MVP development, or MVP ready-stage level. Applications are evaluated based on innovation and originality, market potential, scalability, team capabilities, and alignment with global trends. Additional factors include technical feasibility, social impact, and investment readiness, ensuring a comprehensive and well-rounded assessment of each project.

The Startup School 4 program runs throughout 2026 and is structured in four main stages: - January–February: Finalization of the project concept and objectives, establishment of implementation mechanisms and management structure, identification of geographic scope and priority sectors, preparation of partnership packages, initial partner meetings, and development of a PR and international communication plan. - March–May: Registration and application submission, initial selection, and evaluation of projects from five continents. - June–August: Training and mentorship phase, including masterclasses, sessions and mentor networking. - September–October: Final preparations, pitch deck optimization, and the International Demo Day in Baku.

Yes! Startup School 4 fosters a collaborative ecosystem where participants can connect, share knowledge, and work together. Through mentorship sessions, workshops, networking events, and regional Demo Days, startups have multiple opportunities to partner, exchange experiences, and build cross-border collaborations.

Yes. Enterprise Azerbaijan supports startups in establishing connections with international investors and venture funds. Through the program, participants gain access to global investor networks, guidance on investment readiness, and opportunities to pitch at Demo Days, enhancing their chances for funding and international growth.
