Participants of the global innovation program “Startup School 4: Five Continents – 500 Startups” are developing their knowledge and skills in the field of intellectual property protection and management.
The first training session on the “Intellectual Property” module was held within the framework of the program, implemented at the initiative of the “Enterprise Azerbaijan” portal, operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).
The session was conducted by Bilgin Yazlik, the head of the Türkiye Cappadocia Technopark, a professional mentor who played a direct role in the creation of a number of technoparks and business incubators.
The training was dedicated to the issues of protecting intellectual property rights in global and local markets, increasing the commercial value of innovative ideas, and effective management of startups’ intellectual assets.
The session covered the concepts of patents, trademarks, copyrights and other intellectual property, as well as ways to protect them in local and global markets. The steps that startups need to take to legally protect their innovative products and services and the role of intellectual property strategy in business development were discussed.
The trainer explained the importance of intellectual property rights in the process of bringing innovative ideas to the market with real examples, and shared international experience with the participants on the most common mistakes in this area and ways to prevent them.
During the training, the participants asked the expert questions about their projects and received practical recommendations on the protection and management of intellectual property.
It should be noted that within the framework of the “Startup School 4: Five Continents – 500 Startups” program, participants have the opportunity to benefit from the experience of experts from different countries of the world, to master advanced business and innovation approaches, as well as to obtain new cooperation and investment opportunities for the development of their projects.
