The next training session on the “Responsible Artificial Intelligence” module was organized within the framework of the “Startup School 4: Five Continents, 500 Startups” global innovation program implemented by the “Enterprise Azerbaijan” portal, operated by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication. The session, dedicated to the topic “Building Trustworthy AI Solutions: Transparency, Fairness, and Practical Implementation”, was presented by Nijat Mehdiyev, a representative of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).
During the training, the participants were presented with international approaches to ensuring transparency in the development process of artificial intelligence solutions, explaining algorithmic decisions, and protecting the principles of fairness. They were also provided with detailed information on the formation of public trust in AI systems and the role of this trust in long-term innovation activities.
The session focused on practical mechanisms used to develop responsible AI solutions, data management principles, ethical assessment methods and risk mitigation strategies. The trainer emphasized that the successful application of AI technologies depends not only on high technological capabilities, but also on principles such as protection of user rights, transparent decision-making and accountability.
During the discussions, views were exchanged on how startups can apply responsible AI approaches in the product development process, global regulatory trends and ways to increase the reliability of AI-based products in the market. Participants had the opportunity to analyze the advantages and potential risks of AI solutions based on real examples.
It should be noted that the trainings carried out within the framework of the “Startup School 4: Five Continents, 500 Startups” program support the participants in acquiring modern knowledge in the field of innovation and technology, expanding investment opportunities, exchanging experience with global experts and integrating into the international entrepreneurial ecosystem.
