Isa Gasimov, Head of the Enterprise Azerbaijan portal of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), held a series of meetings with representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan and Enterprise Uzbekistan in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
During a meeting with Ismoiljon Isamukhamedov, Head of the International Cooperation Division at IT Park Uzbekistan—the country’s state technology park and startup ecosystem—the parties discussed prospects for strengthening cooperation between the startup ecosystems of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and expanding investment opportunities. They also exchanged views on emerging opportunities for collaboration along the Middle Corridor, which is increasingly regarded as a modern economic manifestation of the historic Silk Road.
A roundtable discussion was also held at the Enterprise Uzbekistan office with Bokhodir Ayupov, Vice President for Global Business Development, and other representatives of the organization. The participants explored ways to enhance engagement among innovation ecosystem stakeholders and identified potential areas for future joint initiatives. During the meeting, Isa Gasimov, Head of the Enterprise Azerbaijan portal, and Bokhodir Ayupov, Vice President of Enterprise Uzbekistan, agreed to maintain ongoing communication aimed at supporting startups’ access to global markets and fostering investment cooperation.
A key focus of the meetings was collaboration within the framework of the TEI Forum 2026, which will be organized with the partnership of the Enterprise Azerbaijan portal. As part of the forum, the final Demo Day of the global innovation program “Startup School 4: Five Continents – 500 Startups” will be held, bringing together startups, investors, and innovation stakeholders from around the world.
